A Bookish Christmas – Introducing Bookish Advent
About a year ago I was just getting started with my Bookstagram account. I had about 700 followers and no idea what I was doing. A year on and I have over 6,650 followers, a clear visual style and I am growing fast. It took a lot of time and effort and help from the community along the way. One of the things that really helped me was Bookstagram challenges; they gave me inspiration, a focus and often a shout out, which gained me followers.
This Christmas I want to help fellow Bookstagrammers by providing some shout outs and hopefully inspiration and focus along the way.
So I have created a Bookish Calendar and you are all invited to take part.
There are no rules; just make sure you use the #bookishadvent and the daily # (which will be released on the day) so I can find your photos easily. Instead of being prescriptive, all I am going to give you is a word. You can use that word as inspiration for a photo or in your caption as long as it is bookish in some way.
I will give shout outs to the photos I like in my story and announce a winner every day in my Instagram caption.
So simply, you take the word, use it to create, post with the # and you may get a story shout out or an instagram caption shout out.
The words and daily hash tags are below; please feel free to interpret them anyway you please.
